DATA CENTRE

Our hosting services allow clients to get on with their business safe in the knowledge that infrastructure issues that frequently impact IT services and availability are in safe hands.

Our Data Centre is situated on a major multi-carrier fibre route providing us with multi-carrier bandwidth - allowing choice, control and resilience from best-of-breed Carriers. To meet the developing requirements of our clients, we continue to enhance our infrastructure services and now provide Multi-homed Bandwidth, DNS hosting, Managed Firewall Solutions and 24 x 7 x 365 system monitoring.

  • 2 megawatt on-site substation
  • Diverse power feeds to substation
  • Dual AKSA 1.6 megawatt generator connected via C&N ATS systems
  • N+1 PowerWave UPS system
  • N+1 Airedale Air Handling system
  • 22°C +/- 2°C data floor temperature
  • Secure entry via swipe card system, with 6-layer entry
  • Data centre located inside its own secure compound
  • 3-metre fencing and electric entry, including anti-tailgate systems

Round the Clock Monitoring

Every system within the data centre is monitored and controlled from the on-site control room and maintained 24 x 7 x 365.

Physical Security

Access to our Data Centre is strictly controlled, with manned security on-site 24/7. All access points in the data centre are monitored by dedicated internal security, utilizing individual card swipes, biometric scanners and colour CCTV. Security coverage spans from the heart of the facility to the outer compound.

Uninterrupted Power Supply

All main switchgear can support 133% of maximum load in a fully operational data centre. Should mains supply fail at any time, a series of generators seamlessly kick-in to power all hosted equipment supported by site-wide UPS system. Generators run for 36 hours with onsite fuel loads and are refuelable in use.

Fire Detection

There is a three stage fire detection, utilising aspiration first stage for zoned HVAC control to maximise the efficiency of the double knock addressable analogue system. A nitrogen charged 'cold-steam' independently zoned fire suppression system is discharged as a final stage.

Air Conditioning

The air conditioning system is configured with 133% built-in redundancy. Effectively, only 75% of the air conditioning units are required to support the data centre at maximum occupancy.
