Our Standard Email Account size is 1Gb.
You do not need to host your website with us in order to use our email services.
Our charges start from just £ 0.55p per month for a 1Gb Email account.
As part of our email services we provide anti-spam and virus protection free of charge with each email account being individually configured either via your online account or through our webmail interface.
Additional email accounts can be easily added via your online account.
Email is delivered to a mailbox on our servers and can be retrieved using a POP3 connection (desktop software such as Outlook or mobile device) our webmail interface, which you can use from anywhere in the world via an internet connection.
You can have unlimited email addresses reporting to an email account.
Email is received by our servers, and then forwarded on to another address of your choosing. This can be another of your domains hosted with us, or any other external e-mail address.
This allows you to forward mail from one address, to many others. A little like a small mailing list. When an email arrives at a multi-recipient forward address, like sales@mydomain.com, the mail is forwarded to many other recipients, i.e. alice@mydomain.com, brian@mydomain.com, charlie@otherdomain.com, etc. This can be useful in an office environment, where a number of employees can be kept in-touch with a single email address, such as 'finance@mydomain.com' or 'support@mydomain.com'. Works with a mixture of mailbox accounts and external addresses too.
This facility will allow you to alias all addresses on one domain, onto another domain. i.e. if you have sales@domain1.com and info@domain1.com, then you automatically have sales@domain2.com and info@domain2.com without any further setup, provided domain2.com is a domain email alias to domain1.com. This is very useful if you have a number of similar domains, or have some parked domains and need to provide 'standard' addresses on them, going to a common mailbox.
This allows you to set up an address that will reject every message sent to it and return a customisable error message. This can be used if you need to close an email account because of spam, or an employee leaving - you can leave a message that tells people to re-send their email elsewhere. It has the advantages that spammers will not see the error message, and it does not create another message (like a regular autoresponder would) which could be sent to an innocent 3rd party as a result of spam.
Sometimes it's useful to discard messages as soon as they arrive at the server, for example a 'noreply' address used to send out automated mails, that you don't want to see replies to, but you do need a valid account for.
Unlike other hosting companies we provide SMTP as part of our email
services. SMTP is the protocol used for sending emails.
Our authenticated SMTP gives you the ability to send mail through our network, no matter how or where you're connected. No more worries about your current network provider's SMTP server, just connect to smtp.yourdomain and send! Authenticated SMTP is more trusted with other mail servers, and less vulnerable to malware on your PC.
On the move? Our webmail system allows access from any web-enabled device. Fully featured and easy to use, including help function. Send and receive in plain text or full HTML. Send and receive attachments for those all-important documents you need. With IMAP enabled, it allows you to synchronise webmail with the mail on your PC, or just view the messages on the web before downloading them. Also includes a calendar function, address book, search facility, notepad, to-do list, spell-check, bookmark organiser, and the facility to import mail from other POP3 accounts, so you can have it all in one in-box!
Away from your desk for a few days, but want to switch the computer off? No problem with our autoresponders. Just set the message you want to send to anyone who emails you, and relax. Also useful if you change address, or an employee leaves, or you want to tell prospective clients that you'll get back to them as soon as you can.
IMAP is a protocol for accessing your mail, much like POP3, but IMAP allows mail to be stored on the server. Folders can be created (and removed) on the server, and mail can be 'synchronised' between PC and mail server. This allows greater freedom for mobile users, and also allows more features to be accessed from webmail. IMAP access is available concurrently with POP3 access.
Via Webmail the end-user can view quota, change password, and also alter antispam and antivirus settings, provided that is enabled.
If you intend to use our email services in conjunction with a hosting package please see our hosting plans. If you just require email services please contact the sales team.
